Education
We support organisations to envision and work towards more livable, lovable, and sustainable futures.
We provide training for parties involved in the cultural sector. Our lectures, workshops, and learning materials enable them to respond better to ecological crises and the challenges of sustainability transformations. We also support organisations to envision and work towards more livable, lovable, and sustainable futures. In our training sessions, sustainability is approached from the following perspectives:
How can arts and the cultural sector drive sustainability transformations?
The power of art in responding to ecological crises
Sustainable development goals and other sustainability indicators
From carbon footprints to green handprints
Identification of the most impactful sustainability measures
Development of pilot projects
Rooting sustainable practices towards livable futures
We recognise art organisations as important drivers for nourishing regenerative mindsets and practices and we provide support for organisations in their sustainability work. Reinforcing the sustainability skills and transformational leadership capacities of the cultural sector is a key in making change. We maintain that the actors and institutions of the cultural sector can help permeate just socio-ecological methods more widely into societies.
Our training approach is based on listening and dialogue and we aspire to create an atmosphere of acceptance, inspiration and encouragement.
Our trainings are hosted by Punos co-founders Anna-Kaisa Koski (anna-kaisa.koski@punos.org) and Ki Nurmenniemi (ki.nurmenniemi@punos.org).
We have provided training for institutions such as the Espoo Museum of Modern Art EMMA, the Finnish Cultural and Academic Institutes, Helsinki City Museum and Frame Contemporary Art Finland.
