Art educator and cultural worker

Vilma Leminen (they/them) is an art educator and cultural worker based in Helsinki. They graduated from Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design (2019) with a specialisation in visual art and design education. Vilma is currently completing their MA in Education for Sustainable Development at Gothenburg University. They are interested in how art education and collaborative artistic practices can contribute to the realisation of social and environmental justice, and reciprocal relationships with the environment and the more-than-human world. Vilma is part of the alumni of the Creative Climate Leadership programme, facilitated by Julie’s Bicycle, for artists and cultural workers to explore the cultural dimensions of the climate crisis, and take action with creativity, impact, and resilience. Vilma has previously worked with organisations such as Frame Contemporary Art Finland and the Finnish Cultural Institute in New York.
